2.Add the camera to the APP

1).Download "Cloud Edge" APP

Search "Cloud Edge" in App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code below to download and install it on your smartphone.

Note: When using the application for the first time, please turn on the following 2 permissions: Allow "Cloud Edge" to access mobile cellular data and Wireless LAN, otherwise, you will not be able to add devices. Allow "Cloud Edge" to receive pushed messages, otherwise, the phone will not receive alert pushes when motion detection or audible alerts are triggered.

The following is a screenshot of IOS cell phone operation, Android cell phone permissions open method is basically the same as this method:

2).Register account

New users need to register via email. Click "Register"; 2. Follow the steps to complete your account registration; 3. Log in.

Tips: ① Please use the correct email; ② Please select the correct country code; ③ When registering a new account, please select the region where you are actually located. (Cameras can’t be shared between different registration regions.)

3.Camera power on

Use the product accessories charging plug, connect the camera power cord, the camera work indicator lights up, wait 20 seconds, after the successful boot, the work indicator red slow flashing, flashing speed 2 times per second. (If the working state light is not red slow flashing, please reset the device)

4).Connect WI-FI steps

Step 1: Place the camera and smartphone within 1 to 3 feet (30 to 100 cm) of the router to ensure smooth Wi-Fi.

Note: The camera only works with 2.4 G Wi-Fi and does not support 5 G Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Run the "Cloud Edge" application,  click     and select "Camera".

Step 3: Follow the prompts to ensure that the camera is turned on. (The indicator turns red and blinks slowly)

Step 4: Select the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi SSID and enter the password (password supports up to 32 characters), click "Next"

Step 5: Align the QR code with the camera lens at a distance of 10-15cm (3.9-5.9inch) until the QR code is recognized. After you hear the "Bugu" sound, click "Hear the tone".

Step 6: After you click "Hear the tone", the camera will start connecting to Wi-Fi. Once the connection is complete, the app will jump to the "Search for devices" page where you can edit the camera name. Then click "Finish" to switch to "Devices" and now you can watch live video.

Camera and WI-FI connection failure processing steps:

  1. Please make sure you are using 2.4GHz WI-FI. According to our experience, most users fail to connect to Wi-Fi because they mistakenly choose 5 GHz WiFi and add a camera. If you don't know how to distinguish the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WI-FI names of your router, users are advised to search for answers on Google.
  2. Make sure you use the correct Wi-Fi password and a smooth WI-FI network.
  3. Make sure the QR code on the phone screen is normal and the distance between the phone and the camera lens is 10-15cm (3.9-5.9inch) during the scanning 
  4. Restore the product to factory settings, restart the router, and then add it
  5. After multiple attempts have failed, please contact customer service.

3. Mount the camera to wall

Note: For optimum product performance and to avoid unnecessary environmental disturbances, please be aware of the following during installation:

  1. Try to avoid installing the product on the lively roadside, frequent passing pedestrians and vehicles will keep triggering the camera's motion detection function, resulting in very frequent alarm
  2. Do not install the product very far from the router, and the product needs a good WI-FI signal to work
  3. After the installation is finished, please put the antenna straight and
  4. Power adapter connector and the camera's power port connection, where the waterproof performanceis not good, please do not expose to the  Or use tape to wrap this area.


Tools needed:

Step 1: Select the location where you need to install the camera, take the camera and the phone to the location, and use the "Installation Guide" in the application to diagnose the network and determine whether the WI-FI signal at the location is good.

It is recommended to install the camera in a location with a good WI-FI signal for smooth camera operation.

Step 2: Using the Power Drill and four screws, secure the camera to the wall at a recommended distance of 8-10 feet off the ground (2.4m-3m).

Recommended mounting height: 8-10 feet (2.4m-3m) from the ground, at which height, the sensor will provide a maximum detection distance of 35 feet (10m). For the best coverage, you can adjust the vertical angle of the camera to the appropriate angle. We recommend tilting the camera down at an angle of 15°.

5) Device sharing

Others share camera steps:

This function can be achieved through "Device Sharing". 1) Invite your friends to download and install the "Cloud Edge" APP and log in. 2) Click the "Device Sharing" icon                    to watch the operation video, and then follow the steps to complete device sharing.

Tip: When sharing, please make sure that the APP account is registered in the same region.

Otherwise, you will not be able to share successfully.

6) SD card recording

This product does not include an SD card. If you need an SD card to store your files, please purchase it yourself.

SD card requirements:

1)Recommend the use of brand name cards such as San Disk, Samsung, etc.;

2)Support 2-128GB capacity;

3)Recommend the use of standard Class 10 SD cards; 

4)Only FAT32 format is supported.

Note: Insert the memory card into the SD card slot of the device and the device will automatically start saving the video.

How to watch videos on an SD card:

1) Click the "History Records" or "Video Playback" button on the alarm information icon in the app to enter the video playback interface. Drag the timeline or select the alarm point to find the corresponding time period you want to record.

2) Insert the SD card into your computer. The video file is in MP4 format. You can play the video directly using the player.

7) Motion detection

1) Motion detection setting

Go to Application - "Settings" - "Motion Detection" interface, you can adjust the motion detection settings.

Select "Low" level, the motion detection distance reaches 4-5 meters.

Select "Medium" level, the motion detection distance reaches 5-8 meters. Select "High" level, the motion detection distance reaches 8-10 meters.

2) Alarm area

Go to the application - "Settings" - "Alarm Settings" - "Motion Detection" - "Alarm Area".

The alarm area has 16*9 squares, select the area to be monitored in the square area and press "Save". The camera will only record after a moving object appears in the square area.

3) Sound and light alarm

Sound and light alarm is only effective at night, when the sound and light alarm is turned on, you can choose "sound alarm", "white light alarm", "sound and light alarm", three modes.

Note: If you do not turn on the night alarm, the camera will only record black and white screen video at night.

Warm tips: use this product in the process, encounter the following problems, you can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection to solve.

  1. If the phone receives alarm messages too often, it is recommended to adjust downward the level of motion detection or set the alarmarea.
  2. If you find that the phone frequently receives alarm pictures without moving objects, there may be factors such as light and shadow changes within the range of motion detection, it is recommended to adjust the level of motion detection downward, or set the alarmarea.
  3. If you notice someone passing in front of the camera, but can’t receive the alarm message, it is recommended to adjust the sensitivity of motion detection upwards to increase the range of motiondetection.
  4. If you find that the alarm picture or video has a delay, or can only see the back of the person, it is recommended to adjust the sensitivity of the motiondetection.

8.ONVIF Settings

This camera supports ONVIF protocol, because the ONVIF function supports many software and video recorder models, we can’t give examples one by one, this product to the "ONVIF Device Manager" PC client as an example, explain the use of ONVIF.

  1. Open your computer browser and search for "ONVIF Device Manager" on Google to download andinstall.
  2. Open CloudEdge APP,"Settings" - "Advanced Features" - "ONVIF Settings", enter the password to match with the third party device in the password field. Enter the password to be paired with the third-party device, for example, enter the password: "123456"-click "Submit"

Open ONVIF Device Manager, the following interface will appear, enter Name "admin", enter Password "123456", click Log in. The software will automatically find the device, click PTZ Control, you can control the camera part of thefunction.


  1. When third-party software connects to the camera via ONVIF, it must be on the same network as the WIFI router the camera is connected to and have a smoothnetwork.
  2. The Name and Password entered must be the same as the username and password set by CloudEdge.
  3. If you still can't connect, reset the camera and then connect again and try restarting the computer.
  4. ONVIF supports relatively few features, only the most basic few functions of the camera can be used, it is not recommended to rely excessively onONVIF.

Does the device prompt offline?

1) Check whether the equipment is in power-on condition and observe whether the working light of the equipment is normally on.

2) Check if the WIFI network is good and restart the router.

3) If the location of the device according to the router is far away, resulting in the inability to obtain a good WIFI signal, it is recommended to move the router to a closer location, or add a WIFI amplifier to enhance the WIFI performance of the home.

4) Remove the camera device from your Cloud Edge account, Reset the device, and then re-add it.

5) Check that the device firmware and applications are up to date.

Update router or WIFI password?

Remove the light camera from your Cloud Edge account, Reset the device and then re-add it with a new WIFI or password.

Can't play history videos?

  1. Check the status of the SD card in "Settings" to make sure the SD card is successfullyrecognized.
  2. Reinsert the SDcard.
  3. In the application, format the SDcard.
  4. Try another new SDcard.

Does frequent alarm push?

  1. Inthe application, turn down the motion detection alarmsensitivity.
  2. Check whether there are objects within the field of view of the device that interferes with and trigger motion detection, such as outdoor air-conditioning units, moving cars, passing pedestrians, etc. You can properly adjust the angle of the device to avoid these easy interfere withobjects.
  3. Select the location where the object movement is less to install thecamera.

Can't receive alarm push on your phone?

  1. In the system settings of your phone, turn on the push permission of the "CloudEdge" application.
  2. Make sure the motion detection function of the device is successfully
